Overview

We are delighted to be launching the next round of our community initiative in the Old Street District: a community grant scheme designed to support the inspiring work of our local charities and community groups.

The OSDP is so proud of the wide range of community groups in the area, who work tirelessly to support the local community. They play a key role in making Old Street the vibrant and welcoming place that it is.

That’s why we’ve set aside £25k funding for community projects to support the inspiring work that you do. All your organisation has to do is fill out an application form with details of how you’d use the funds.

How does the process work?

  • Read the Community Pot Guidelines document.
  • Get in touch with us via the contact box below or communitypot@oldstreetdistrict.london.
  • We will send you a link to our online application form. Applications open on Friday 5 April 2024 and close on Friday 7 June 2024.
  • Applications will be shortlisted by our panel of key local community figures.
  • Successful applicants will be notified early in the summer of this year.

Who is eligible?

Any community group or charity within the Old Street District. If you’re not sure if you’re eligible, get in touch with us.

Finally, we’ve been able to register as a charity! We simply wouldn’t have been in a position to do this without the help of the Old Street District Partnership. Their generous donation allowed us to open a bank account and buy an electric bike to collect food donations in an environmentally sustainable way. Through the Partnership, we have received office furniture and catering equipment for our new premises. This has enabled us to help more people (especially families) in our community by providing healthy, nutritious hot meals and offering food and other donations to the vulnerable and those in need. The team have linked us up with local businesses for support - they are creating community spirit in these challenging times.
