The Old Street area of East London is an exciting and thriving district with a very diverse mix of businesses coming together.
With connectivity being essential to those who work and visit the area, Old Street is in close proximity to 3 different boroughs – Islington, Hackney and Tower Hamlets. Moving southwards it borders the City and the Corporation of London Boundary.
The area has already seen significant redevelopment. Over the next 5-10 years, it will be transformed significantly. In particular the improvements to Old Street station and reconfiguration of the roundabout will play a huge part in shaping the area and influencing the place making agenda- creating a “destination” for workers, visitors and residents.
At its heart is the iconic Silicon Roundabout- symbolising the area’s status as the UK hub for IT, telecommunications and related creative industries.
Along with these technological industries, there is a large concentration of law and professional services firms- particularly moving southwards towards the City fringe.
Office occupiers can join visitors and tourists in the area to enjoy the bustling entertainment, dining and nightlife scene predominantly in Hoxton and Shoreditch High Street areas.
